Renovations to the Cardinal Stadium were long overdue for the Clinton School District. In April of 2013 patrons of the district passed a bond issue for additions and renovations to Cardinal Stadium.

The stadium portion of the project gave the district a new synthetic turf field and track, a new field house, two new multipurpose locker rooms, a renovated press box, and new field events. The field house contains the home football and soccer teams locker rooms, concessions, public restrooms, and much needed storage.

The district desired to proceed with the stadium project in two phases in order to get the track and field complete prior to the first home football game of 2013. The iDS team compressed the design schedule to meet this request.
