LEXINGTON R-V SCHOOL DISTRICT | LONG RANGE FACILITY PLAN
Location: Lexington r-V School District
The Lexington School District currently utilizes three educational facilities for their nearly 1,000 students. The district worked with incite Design Studio to assess the current facilities, as well as plan for future growth and renovations. The scope of work has been broken down into two phases.
In the first phase, incite Design Studio prepared a Long Range Plan for the District. Organizing the procedure and planning the work are crucial to collecting the proper data, being efficient and thorough in facility walk-throughs, and analyzing the data to identify concerns of the staff and administration. The second phase of the plan involves implementing the Long Range Plan. Through design and planning meetings with district administration and design personnel, space programming is defined, preliminary cost estimates are generated, and iDS is also supporting the district with the bond campaign.
Currently in progress are additions and renovations to Leslie Bell Elementary, including a new food service and kitchen, renovations to classrooms, teacher support spaces, and administrative suite, and the addition of an elevator. Other projects include a Middle School reroof, High School renovations and district paving improvements projects.
iDS also provided Lexington with the planning and design of their track and stadium renovation project.
