After a successful Performing Arts Center project, the Maryville School District and iDS once again teamed up to design a FEMA Safe Room. The 7,800 square foot Safe Room is constructed of precast concrete wall and roof panels, with a sub-use as an auxiliary gymnasium.
The Safe Room accommodates 1,170 sitting or standing occupants and six wheelchair bound occupants. In the event that a tornado warning is issued after hours, the Safe Room is open to the community for shelter.
