NORTH KANSAS CITY PARKS & RECREATION OFFICES + COMMUNITY CENTER | NEW CONSTRUCTION

Location: North Kansas City, Missouri

Size: 8,000 SF

cost: $1,700,000

incite Design Studio has worked closely with the Parks and Recreation Department and Board Members since May 2016 on the new Parks and Recreation Center design. The Community Center opened to the public in early 2018.

The new 8,000 square foot building is located in Macken Park. The facility provides meeting spaces, a multi-purpose room, a kitchen, and an activity room to conduct the various Parks and Recreation Programs for the patrons of North Kansas City. Offices for the Parks and Recreation Department are also located within the building.

The exterior of the building features elements which require low maintenance, are reasonably priced, and fit into the aesthetics of the neighborhood and Macken Park. The interior space utilizes neutral colors with areas to display art, a coffee bar at the reception desk, along with storage spaces for holiday decorations, athletic equipment, and inventory items.
