St. James Academy Catholic High School had a vision of keeping all the high school sports practices in one central location. The main goals are to reduce the amount of time students spend driving off campus to practice fields, cut down on early morning and late night practices off campus, and avoid the use of the school’s the main auxiliary gymnasium during the early morning or late evening hours.

The solution was to build a new multipurpose facility to house basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and wrestling. The building features two full competition basketball courts, two full competition volleyball courts, and two batting cages. Space for indoor track and field event practices will take place in a future expansion of the building. The building is located southeast of the school, and right next to an existing parking lot to be utilized by this facility’s patrons.

In addition to encompassing most of the school’s sports, the new building will serve as a multi-functional event space to host weddings, receptions, and parties and other community events.
